Mile High Ingredients was founded by entrepreneur Pete Woodley as a family business, looking to gain a niche into the quickly-evolving industrial ingredient industry. Originally named the Pete Woodley Company in the early seventies, followed by Food Brokers Incorporated in the eighties, the company became Mile High Ingredients “MHI” in 1998.

Brendan Woodley joined Pete in 1998, and acquired Mile High Ingredients in 2010. He continues the legacy Pete started.

In early years MHI was primarily a commodity-based ingredient manufacturers rep firm, but over time and under the leadership of Brendan Woodley in the InterMountain Region, the company has become a more specialized ingredient company, utilizing functional and value-added ingredients specifically targeted for health and wellness markets in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Wyoming, and Nebraska.
